Third Interview Preparation

1.  Who do you plan to interview?  What is this person's area of expertise?  I plan to Interview my friends grandpa who own his own successful company. His company does sandblasting but business is business and his business made him very successful, so I feel like I can learn a lot from him.
2.  Verify that you have called your interviewee to schedule an interview.  What is the date and time of the interview? We decided it would be next week or the following week but we don't know the exact time.... we both will decide based on our schedules.
3.  Phrase an open-ended question that will help you find research resources that would help to answer the EQ.
What steps did you take to open up your own business? (Is getting a business degree the path to go?) (Did you have connections)(if yes how did you find these connections)
4.  Phrase an open-ended question that will help you think about other useful activities you might do to help you answer the EQ (IC2, possible experts to talk to, etc)
Once you got your business started, what are actions you did in order to grow as a company (how did you promote it/ market it).
5.  Phrase two open-ended questions that help you to understand your interviewee's perspective on an aspect of your EQ.
--How were you able to market your own business successfully in your location? What do you need to do in order to market your own business without a company's help?
--Is there anyone that guided you in creating your business or did you own desire to make your business move you?

Blog 12: Holiday Project Update

1.  It is important to consistently work on your senior project, whether it is break or we are in school.  What did you do over the break with your senior project? I went into her office and began working on researching influencer social foot prints for the upcoming campaign. Most of the time I was sitting in meetings so I couldn't finish researching the influencers but will continue to work on it.

2.  What was the most important thing you learned from what you did, and why?  What was the source of what you learned? I've done research before so I picked up easier on what to look for this time. But I barely began doing it so the meetings I went to were the highlight. I learned how to interact with influencers or their managers as I saw how they made the verbal agreements and went over what each required from each other.

3.  Your third interview will be a 10 question interview related to possible answers for your EQ. Who do you plan to talk to and why? I might talk to my friends grandpa because he has his own company and when you have your own company you have market yourself someway. I would also chose him due to the fact I might want to start my own company one day and market it myself as well. I feel if I can snag a interview with him he'll offer a lot of knowledge for me .
